Garry Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov, Viktor Korchnoi - the chess scene has been dominated by the three "big Ks", along with the world's top woman chess-player, Judit Polgar, for many years now.
On August 22, 2006, Credit Suisse organized a unique line-up in Zurich featuring all of these stars. They opened the event by competing against each other in six "Anniversary Matches," after which they played against members of the public in a simultaneous tournament.
Location: Lichthof, in the shopping arcade at Paradeplatz 8, Zurich

Anniversary Matches
- First place: Garry Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov tied with 4 points each
- Second place: Judit Polgar with 2.5 points
- Third place: Viktor Korchnoi with 0.5 points
Simultaeous Tournament
- Garry Kasparov won 20 of 20 games
- Judit Polgar won 19 of 20 games and lost 1 game
- Anatoly Karpov won 17 games and drew 3 games
- Viktor Korchnoi won 15 of 20 games, drew 2 and lost 3 games
The event was open for viewing to Credit Suisse employees and the public. No tickets were required.
